Children’s
Liturgy of the Word
Children
are invited each Sunday at the 10am Mass, to celebrate the Liturgy of
the Word in a manner appropriate to their level of understanding. Children
from primary 1 to primary 4 are invited to join
the procession at the beginning of Mass going to the sacristy for
their celebration and returning to the Church at the procession of Gifts. The older children, P5 and above, are invited to the altar servers sacristy before the beginning of Mass for their celebration, returning to the Church with the younger children.
The children gather, hear the Word of God, and then discuss and discover
what God is saying to each one of them.
The adult leaders take it in turn to prepare the Children’s Liturgy. If you would
like more information, or would like to be involved with the Children’s
celebration please contact one of the priests.

Extraordinary
Ministers of Holy Communion
As well as helping to distribute Holy Communion at the parish
Masses, our Ministers take Communion to the sick and housebound
in their homes and local nursing homes. This ministry is appreciated by
all who are unable to be present at Sunday Mass, but who - through the services
of our ministers - are united to the congregation in the Church.

Parish
Choir
The parish choir lead the congregation in singing at the
12 noon Mass each Sunday. For the major feasts of the year they are an indispensable
asset in the celebration of the solemn liturgies. In addition many Choir
members frequently attend parish funerals and assist with the singing on
these sad occasions. As with most parish groups they welcome enquiries for
those interested in joining. They meet on Thursday evening at 7pm in the
parish hall.

Church
Cleaners
“Never in the field of human endeavour was so much owed by so
many to so few.”
All who visit St Joseph’s Church are greatly impressed by its freshness.
Few will realise that our team of cleaners is very small in number. Of course,
anyone wishing to offer their services in the cleaning of the Church would
be welcomed with open arms!
