Drop
In Club
|
The Drop In Club are a group of mainly elderly
and unemployed people. Activities include Carpet Bowls,
Cards, Dominoes.
Members pay £1 per session for tea etc. The Club meet
on Monday afternoons in the hall from 1pm – 3pm and is open to anyone who wishes to come along.

Rainbows
And Brownies
|
The 4th Blantyre Rainbows and 2nd A
Blantyre Brownies meet on a Tuesday evening in the
parish hall. The Rainbows are for girls aged 5 to 7 years and
meet from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. The Brownies are for those aged
7 to 10 years and meet from 6.30pm to 8pm. Both groups, play
games, sing songs and assorted arts and crafts. |

The
ALMA club meet in the Hall on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm.
The Association is known as A.L.M.A. which names recalls the
title of Our Lady and is an abbreviated form of Association
of Lourdes Motherwell Aiders. Membership is open to young people
who are 16 years of age and over who wish to
work on a voluntary basis with the handicapped/sick of the
area. The Aims of the Association:
- is to provide an association of people, sick, handicapped
and able bodied, particularly youth who work together to
offer Christian, social and material support to each other.
- is to assist with the sick/handicapped who go on Diocesan
Pilgrimages to Lourdes under the guidance of the Motherwell
Lourdes Hospitalite.
- is to sponsor sick/handicapped and helpers to go to Lourdes
on diocesan and other pilgrimages.
- is to be involved with the sick/handicapped within the
diocese in whatever area of need is recognised by the Dioceses
and the Association.
- since membership is interdenominational (helpers and
handicapped) opportunity is provided to foster ecumenical
relationships.
